Tank has completed a comprehensive evaluation of the Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, and Philanthropy functions of a major Australian disability services provider. This evaluation, conducted during a time of significant organisational growth and transformation, has provided the foundation for a future-state operational model that will support the provider’s strategic objectives and ongoing sector reforms.
Our consultancy was engaged to assess these critical functions, focusing on unlocking innovation opportunities to ensure they remain aligned with the organisation’s goals and poised for future growth. This project came at a pivotal moment as the provider was modernising operations and striving for financial sustainability, while navigating sector-wide reforms, including those emerging from the recent Disability Royal Commission.
Tank conducted a thorough capability assessment involving extensive engagement with key stakeholders across the organisation. This included leadership, staff, and external partners, through stakeholder interviews, surveys, and a comprehensive literature review. Our findings were reported to the organisation’s board in a series of detailed reports, ensuring leadership was equipped to make informed decisions throughout the engagement.
The outcomes of this evaluation included a forward-looking operational maturity model designed to streamline efficiencies, enhance governance frameworks, and leverage evidence-based decision-making. The recommendations have set the stage for these functions to play a key role in the provider’s long-term success and ability to lead in the disability services sector.
