A living, breathing strategic plan.

Most organisations come to strategy at a moment of change, some embrace the strategic planning cycle with gusto, whilst only a few put people and lived experience at the centre of the process.

Today's impact organisation faces common issues; carrying deep unrecognised cultural and community value, limited resources, shifting policy and funding environments, and ever-evolving expectations and needs from communities, staff, boards and partners.

The voice of lived experience

We work alongside you to develop strategy that reflects the voices and experiences of the communities you serve.

Conscious of emerging futures

A living, breathing strategy remains conscious of emerging future scenarios; we ensure horizon-scanning rituals remain embedded within your organisation's culture.

Human, adaptable and clear

We ensure that organisational wisdom is respected, and leveraged to defne a future strategy that is clearly understood and able to adapt through change.

An act of stewardship

We see strategy as an act of stewardship; making deliberate choices, informed by evidence, accountable to future generations and the people most affected by those decisions.

How we approach strategic planning.

Simple, human, ethical.

Listening

We begin by listening deeply to the people who live the organisation every day, including staff, partners and communities.

Listening shapes the strategy from the outset, ensuring decisions are grounded in lived experience rather than assumption.

Trust

We create spaces where people feel safe to speak honestly, knowing their perspectives will be taken seriously and reflected in what comes next.

We empower your strategic planning teams with foresight tools that provide an evidence base for decisions.

Stewardship

We treat strategy as an act of stewardship, holding both present needs and future responsibility in view.

This means helping you make clear, values-led choices that can be sustained over time, explained with integrity and measured for accountability.

Common questions

How long does the process take?
Each engagement is designed around your context. Most strategies unfold over several months, allowing time for listening, reflection and alignment.
Do you work with boards and governance bodies?
Yes. We integrate board engagement throughout the process so confidence and ownership are built early. Members of our team have various board positions themselves and have an intimate, first-hand understanding of working with boards.
What if there are strong or conflicting views?
That is often where the most important work sits. We create structured, respectful ways to surface difference and use it to strengthen the strategy.
Can you support implementation?
Yes. We offer advisory and communications support to help organisations embed and sustain their strategy over time.
What happens if our CEO changes during the strategy process?
Leadership change is not uncommon during strategy cycles. We design our process to hold continuity, re-onboard new leaders, and ensure the strategy reflects both organisational intent and the context of current leadership.
How do you balance long-term vision with short-term pressures?
We work at both horizons. Strategy should set a clear long-term direction while identifying near-term priorities and decision principles that help teams act with confidence.
How do you ensure the strategy stays relevant once it is approved?
We build in review rhythms, measures and reflection points so the strategy can be revisited, tested and adapted as conditions change, without losing its core intent.
